CK Educational private tutoring gives students the key to unlock their

own potential and be the people they were meant to be. I offer hourly individual and small group instruction for K-12 students in both Seattle

and Bellingham.

Carolyn Keaveny is originally from Peterborough, NH and is currently working in Seattle.

She holds an M.S. from Syracuse University in School Counseling and earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire.

She has taught elementary and middle school in the private school setting in both New Hampshire and Bellingham, Washington for a combined 17 years. Prior to relocating to Washington state, she taught at Mountain Shadows school in Dublin, NH for 15 years as a Learning Specialist and classroom teacher. In this small school setting, Keaveny honed her teaching skills working with students in first through eighth grade across all subject areas, skill levels, and learning styles.

Upon moving to Bellingham, WA in the summer of 2010, Keaveny spent the last two years substituting in a variety of roles at Whatcom Day Academy. This year she has had the great pleasure of taking care of her twin nephews in Seattle during the week when they are not in preschool.

Keaveny splits her time between Seattle and Bellingham.

Large classrooms have to focus on methods that work best for the majority: average students. Especially bright students often get bored and give up. Students who are challenged by specific subject matter are often left behind. Either case squanders their potential.

With the right guidance, the student learns to leverage his or her intellect effectively. He or she works farther and farther ahead, opening future doors, and meeting challenges with enthusiasm and enjoyment. But without this help, students often have trouble and a personalized approach is crucial to support them.
